Member Showcase and Market

The Ames Community Arts Council proudly presented The Member Showcase and Market on February 21. For one exciting and memorable evening, the Arts Council brought its artist members together under one roof. The public was invited to delight their senses and sample the arts of Ames! 

The Member Showcase and Market included:

• an art-inspired meal with craft beer and wine
• amazing live performances (vocal & instrumental music, dance, theater, and literary arts)
• a gallery of incredible work (mixed media, photography, paintings, jewelry, floral design, and fiber arts
• unique table decorations designed by arts organizations
• a market of handcrafted goods 

This very special event was a fundraiser to support the Arts Council programming and a vehicle to showcase the tremendous skill and diverse talents of local member artists. And it was a lot of fun!

The City of Ames Commission on the Arts provided a small grant to help market the event. A matching grant from Modern Woodmen helped our fundraising efforts go even further!

The Member Showcase and Market may become a regular part of the Arts Council annual programming. Watch for details!
