Support arts education opportunities that expand art programs outside the regular classroom through the Arts in Education program.

• Foster an environment where schools and local civic or community organizations work collaboratively to develop educational art experiences outside the regular classroom.
• Empower students from the 10th grade through college who live in or attend school in Ames to mentor, present or explore any of the arts outside of regular classroom assignment, including service learning.
• Employ service-learning programs outside the regular classroom to use arts experiences as tools to teach other core subjects, such as reading, writing, history, math, science, and social studies.
• Create an Arts in Education grant program that is efficient, effective, transparent, cooperative and predictable and requires grantees not only to create quality products, but also to deliver those products to audiences of such numbers and demographics as to merit an investment by ACAC.
